20% off Select Cheeses
Now through April 17th, we'll be featuring 20% off the following select cheeses. These prices won't last long, so stock up on your favorites and don't be afraid to try something new!
Ile De France Brie: Fresh, natural ingredients and traditional cheese-making methods produce the rich, full flavor that's made Ile de France Brie famous. This beautiful cheese is true brie imported from France (not domestic brie), and is pale yellow in color and covered with a rind of white mold that is completely edible and typically eaten whole with the cheese. An excellent recipe to try with this cheese is Chef Keoni Chang's Brie with warm pecan brown sugar.
Jarlsberg Wedge: This Swiss style cheese has characteristic large holes and a creamy, nutty, almost sweet flavor. Jarlsberg is excellent in grilled cheese sandwiches or melted atop your favorite burger. If you're looking to pair this with a nice wine, try Jarlsberg with an Entwine Merlot to complement the softer, fruitier profile. Because of it's mild creamy flavor, you can even enjoy Jarlsberg by itself or with some whole wheat crackers.
Il Villaggio Grana Padano: Similar to it's more famous, longer-aged cousin Parmigiano-Reggiano, Grana Padano is a hard grating cheese that is subtler and less nutty in flavor than Parmigiano. Imported directly from Italy (protected designation of origin), many Italians actually prefer this wonderful cheese in applications where a milder more delicate flavor is more complementary to a dish. Try using this the next time you make risotto!
Alouette Spreads: These spreadable cheeses add a gourmet touch to crackers, toasted french bread or even mashed potatoes. They come in great flavors like Sundried Tomato & Basil, Garlic & Herbs, Savory Vegetable and Spinach Artichoke. Because they can really enhance the flavor of any of your party appetizers, they pair great with a wide variety of wines. Try a white wine like our Entwine Pinot Griggio or a dry Riesling for a nice summer flavor, or go bold with a Syrah and the Sundried Tomato & Basil.
Alouette Crumbles: Crumbles taste great atop salads, omelets and pasta, and are a convenient way to jazz up burgers and pizza too! Whether you're going with Feta, Blue Cheese, Gorgonzola, or Goat Cheese, Alouette has a wide variety of great flavors to complement your favorite dishes. Because most of the crumbles are bold flavors, you may find it challenging to pair with your average red or white wine, especially Blue Cheese. The general rule of thumb is to go with a sweeter wine with saltier cheeses, so experiment with a Port or even a Reisling.
While tasting a locally made smoked Ahi Spread at R. Field Wine Co., the usual "OMG" can be heard after that first bite. The combination of this lightly smoked spread and a thin, crisp "Waterwheel" or “Lavosh” cracker is the best pairing! It is impossible to just have a taste....this great tasting spread demands instantly for more. While the best pairing is on cracker, others have tried it ... more »

Kumu Farms actually began right here on Oahu’s North Shore in 1980, on just 2 acres of land. Since then, they've migrated to the island of Molokai, and now farm over 120 acres on the Mahana-Ho’olehua Plain. Each week, they harvest 20,000 pounds of papaya, 4,000 pounds of Sweet Basil, and 500 pounds of other fresh herbs, including many specialty crops. And today, over half of their acreage is co-certified Organic.
