Foodland is at it again...Food, Family, Friends & now...GAS! The Foodland Gas Station Ewa Beach is actually our second gas station, with our first being located on the Big Island at Sack N Save Hilo. We are thrilled to welcome the new Ewa Beach Foodland Gas Station to our family and hope to see your family there as well.
I love to eat! I have a long list of my favorite foods and places where I enjoy eating at. I guess you could say I take eating for granted. Many years ago, a young man from Ireland had a dream of leaving his homeland and coming to America. With just $7 in his pocket he headed to New York, then Hawaii, and in 1948 opened the first Foodland store. High school seniors also have great dreams. A man on the moon, parachuting from space, and a wholphin. What do these have in common? At one point we thought they were impossible. Now that we know they are possible, they really don’t seem like outlandish speculation but part of everyday life.
Today we made an announcement that Foodland and the Western Union Foundation will match customer donations made at checkout to support Hurricane Sandy disaster relief efforts. Donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total matching gift of $100,000. Foodland’s “Hurricane Sandy Relief” program invites customers to make a $5, $10 or $20 donation at any Foodland or Sack N Save checkout through November 30. Funds will be matched and sent to the American Red Cross.
