Your confidence and support is heartwarming, humbling, and thrilling — all at the same time. For a local company like ours, there is no greater honor than to have those people we work so hard to serve, tell us they think we are the best. Mahalo to each and every one of you. We feel truly blessed to have such great customers!

Without question, the credit for this wonderful recognition must go to our 2,500 employees throughout the state. In a year when we faced new competition from mainland supermarkets and big box retailers opening right down the street from our stores, our team’s commitment to taking care of our customers and making every shopping experience a positive one has enabled us to survive – and thrive. As Hawaii’s only remaining locally owned supermarket with stores statewide, we do often feel like the underdog. Yet, we are also pleased to be what our corporate chef Keoni Chang called “the little grocery store that could,” thanks to the helping and caring hands and hearts of our employees. We are proud of them all.
