Natural Holiday Snacking Guide
We have some exciting snacks in store for you this holiday season. I wanted to give you a quick rundown of what goodies you will find at Foodland, available now!
Stacy's Pita Chips, Simply Gingerbread
I got so excited back in July when I saw these at a food show…I just knew they would be a hit. Stacy’s Pita chips continue to grow in sales and now they have a new flavor that's prefect for the holidays, Simply Gingerbread! No, not in the shape of little gingerbread people, nor would they be great for the construction of a house, but these are a great way to work in a little holiday spice to your snack time.
Speaking of spicy…
Terra Cinnamon Spice Sweet Potato Chips
Sweet Potatoes are an excellent source of Vitamin A. With the added Cinnamon, these are a real treat for the holidays. We brought them in last year and as soon as they were gone, people were asking for more...now, they are back!
Popcorn Indiana, Drizzled Black & White Kettlecorn
Where have you been all my life? I opened a bag of this yesterday at the Market City store for people to try. I then bought it and proceeded to eat the rest of it on my way home through town! It is soooo good! I had an extra large serving of tofu stir fry last night to try to balance out my indulgence. This one will only be available through the winter. Get it while you can as it is crazy good. Eat your veggies too.
A second seasonal flavor from Popcorn Indiana is...
Drizzled Cinnamon Sugar Kettlecorn!
Not quite the same addictive properties as the Drizzled Black & White Kettlecorn, but still an awesome take on traditional Kettlecorn. Sweet and Spicy, with a nice crunch.
Have fun with your holiday snacks this year. Great stocking stuffers and if you are making a holiday gift basket any of these would be a nice inclusion.
Mmmm…popchips! You know I love them. What’s not to love? No artificial colors, flavors or anything really bad for you. Katy Perry apparently loves them too and recently partnered with popchips to create her own new flavor.
I usually don’t get crazy for Kettle Corn, as I like salty more than sweet, but let's just say, I tried Katy Perry's new Kettle Corn popchips, and I liked it!
They have the perfect blend of sweet and salty with all the popchips goodness. ... more »

Perhaps you have a vegetarian coming over for Thanksgiving this year. Seems every family has somebody nowadays that is not eating meat. Struggling over what to feed them? Well, I know that Thanksgiving is all about the Turkey but being a veggie myself, I can tell you that you don’t really need to do anything all that special for your vegetarian family or friends.
We wouldn’t want you to miss out on all of the delicious holiday beverages this year! After all, they only come around once. With Silk®’s healthy alternatives, we are able to indulge on all of them. We are so excited to have Silk® Nog Soymilk and Silk ®Mint Chocolate Soymilk in our Foodland stores! It is on Maikai for $3.99 for the 32 oz carton.
I finally got to try the Silk® Fruit & Protein drinks! But let me tell you, it wasn’t easy….
When I originally got samples of the three flavors, I organized a tasting within our office for a few people to try. I ended up getting called into a meeting and when I came out, the containers were all empty and I had nothing but glowing reviews.
Then, I went and bought one at Foodland Beretania and my niece polished it off before I ever got a chance at it!
Have you tried cooking with coconut oil yet?
It has become a staple in my house, but often when I tell people about this wonderful oil, I hear something to the effect of, “aren’t tropical oils bad for you?” I also heard a lot about coconut oil being high in saturated fat, which didn’t sound good either.
Anybody remember that Reese’s Peanut butter commercial (I might be dating myself here) where the guys are walking around the corner…one is eating chocolate and the other is eating peanut butter. They bump into each other and create a truly wonderful flavor combination. Well…it took a few decades but that winning combination of chocolate and peanut butter might have just got beat out by coconut and peanut butter! I just finished my first jar of Earth Balance Coconut and Peanut Spread ... more »
