Taste our Love for the Land - Hawaii Food and Wine Festival
Our very own Corporate Chef and Director of Prepared Foods, Chef Keoni Chang, was a featured talent at the 2013 Hawaii Food and Wine Festival signature event, "Taste our Love for the Land" last weekend.
Hosted atop the Hawaii Convention Center at the beautiful Rooftop Garden, this event showcased Hawaii's abundance of local ingredients with a total of 18 world-renowned celebrity chefs offering their own renditions. Chef Keoni shared a delicious beef tartare made with locally sourced Hawaii Ranchers beef served on a crostini with micro arugula and chervil, and finished with a truffle aioli and sea salt.
From those who got to try it, we heard rave reviews and everyone said it was Ono! Great job Chef Keoni Chang and mahalo to the Foodland team members there to support him - job well done!

Jenai Wall, Foodland CEO & Chairman, recently took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by dumping a Foodland Reusable Bag filled with ice over her head and extended the challenge to the Foodland main office and all Foodland store employees across Hawaii!

It's that time of year again and we're partnering with local Farmers and Hawaii's Top Chefs for cooking demonstrations at select Foodland locations in support of the 4th annual Hawaii Food & Wine Festival. Thank you very much to everyone who participated in our Kōkua Philippines matching gifts program to support disaster relief efforts from Typhoon Haiyan. Together, through customer donations & a matching gift from the Western Union Foundation, a total of $101,270.00 will be given to the American Red Cross!
We are deeply saddened by the devastation Typhoon Haiyan has caused in the Philippines. We know that many Hawaii people would like to help financially with the relief efforts. Foodland has begun accepting donations which will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000, by the Western Union. We encourage you to make a $5, $10 or $20 donation at any Foodland or Sack N Save checkout through December 8th. The donation amount will be added to your grocery purchase total.
