The term “Artisan” has been sort of loosely thrown about lately, but what does it really mean? Well, the definition of "artisan" is a person or company that makes a high-quality, distinctive product in small quantities, usually by hand and using traditional methods...
So when I think of truly "Artisan" foods, Cristiano Creminelli and his line of handcrafted cured meats made from old time family recipes comes to mind.

Our company Vice Chairman, Roger Wall, has been named the Hawaii State Chair for the 2012 March for Babies, which helps raise money to support expectant mothers and babies right here in Hawaii. This year’s March for Babies, sponsored by Foodland, will have the support of more than 45,000 people at five walk sites on four islands including 5,000 walkers, 500 volunteers and 40,000 contributors.
Every year, Foodland is proud to carry beautiful Easter Lilies grown locally at Howard’s Nursery in Kula, Maui. The handsome gentleman pictured to the left is Howard Takishita, owner of Howard’s Nurseries, Inc, and the green thumb responsible for producing these wonderful lilies. What you may not know is that these same lilies that he tirelessly cultivates especially for our customers, hold a very special place in his heart.
