Ingredients

1Eachround of brie, approximately 14 oz.
1⁄2Cupgolden brown sugar (packed)
1⁄4Cupunsalted butter (1/2 stick)
1⁄4Cupwhipping cream
1⁄2Teaspoonvanilla extract
1⁄4TeaspoonSalt
1⁄2Cuptoasted pecan halves (spiced pecans add nice complexity)

Instructions

  1. Take the brie out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature.
  2. Heat a pot and combine the sugar, butter, cream, vanilla and salt.
  3. Allow it to come to a boil and cook until syrupy.
  4. Add in the pecans.
  5. Spoon the mixture over the room temperature brie.
  6. Serve with apple slices, crackers and bread.
