Chocolate Butter Mochi

2Cupmochiko flour
1 3⁄4Cupsugar
1Tablespoonbaking soda
3Tablespooncocoa powder
1⁄2Cupmelted butter
1Cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
1Canevaporated milk (12 oz.)
1Cancoconut milk (12 oz.)
2eachlarge eggs, lightly beaten
2Teaspoonvanilla extract


  1. Sift together mochiko, sugar, baking soda and cocoa powder.
  2. Melt butter with the chocolate chips.
  3. Combine milk, eggs and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  4. Add chocolate to the milk mixture and stir.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Pour into a greased 9-by-13-inch pan or 2 8x8 pans.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Cool before slicing.
