Ingredients

chicken

3Poundchicken thighs, boneless, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
1 1⁄2Cupflour
1⁄2Cupcornstarch
 eachsalt and pepper to taste

Garlic sauce

2CupAloha shoyu (Aloha is less salty)
2Cupsugar
1Cupchopped garlic
1⁄2Cupchopped green onion
2Tablespoonsesame oil
1Teaspoonchili flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, simmer until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens. Set aside.
  2. Take some of the cooled sauce and marinate the chicken.
  3. Combine flour and cornstarch. Season the flour mix with salt and pepper. Dredge chicken in flour mix & deep fry.
  4. Toss in sauce and serve.
