Kim Chee Fried Rice

Kim Chee Fried Rice

A quick and easy local favorite that you can make right at home!

Ingredients  

  • 0.25 cup peanut oil
  • 3 cups cooked white rice, day old or dried out uncovered in the fridge
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup kalbi, diced (or preferred meat)
  • 0.5 cup kim chee, chopped
  • 0.5 cup watercress pieces, 1/2 inch
  • 0.5 cup bean sprouts
  • 3 eggs, whisked and fried
  • 2 tablespoons shoyu (dark preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 0.5 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat the oil in a wok.
  2. Toss in the rice until hot and golden.
  3. Toss in the garlic.
  4. Add in the kalbi, kim chee, watercress, beansprouts, fried egg.
  5. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Add in the shoyu and sesame oil.
  7. Finish with green onions.
