Ingredients

1eachsmall onion, chopped fine
1eachgarlic clove, minced
1eachlarge egg
1⁄2Cupmilk
1⁄4Cupdried bread crumbs
3Tablespoonketchup
1⁄4Cupgrated parmesan
1TeaspoonSalt
1⁄4Teaspoonground black pepper
1Poundlean turkey meat
26Ouncetomato sauce or store-bought marinara sauce
1Poundcooked pasta

Instructions

Turkey Meatballs with Tomato Sauce

  1. Add the onion, garlic, egg, milk, bread crumbs, ketchup, Parmesan, salt and pepper to a large bowl and blend. Mix in the turkey. Shape the turkey mixture into 2 inch-diameter meatballs. Reserve on a plate.
  2. Heat the tomato sauce and bring to a slow simmer. Place all the meatballs into the pan. Turn the heat to medium-low and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly and the meatballs cook through, about 15 to 20 minutes. Adjust for seasoning.
  3. You may add pasta to the sauce and heat, or pour sauce over hot pasta and garnish with meatballs and parmesan.
