
Turkey Meatballs with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
| 1 | each | small onion, chopped fine |
| 1 | each | garlic clove, minced |
| 1 | each | large egg |
| 1⁄2 | Cup | milk |
| 1⁄4 | Cup | dried bread crumbs |
| 3 | Tablespoon | ketchup |
| 1⁄4 | Cup | grated parmesan |
| 1 | Teaspoon | Salt |
| 1⁄4 | Teaspoon | ground black pepper |
| 1 | Pound | lean turkey meat |
| 26 | Ounce | tomato sauce or store-bought marinara sauce |
| 1 | Pound | cooked pasta |
Instructions
Turkey Meatballs with Tomato Sauce
- Add the onion, garlic, egg, milk, bread crumbs, ketchup, Parmesan, salt and pepper to a large bowl and blend. Mix in the turkey. Shape the turkey mixture into 2 inch-diameter meatballs. Reserve on a plate.
- Heat the tomato sauce and bring to a slow simmer. Place all the meatballs into the pan. Turn the heat to medium-low and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly and the meatballs cook through, about 15 to 20 minutes. Adjust for seasoning.
- You may add pasta to the sauce and heat, or pour sauce over hot pasta and garnish with meatballs and parmesan.
