On the eve of its 60th anniversary, Foodland opened its 30th store in Hawaii. This store, located in Mauna Lani on the Big Island, was the first of Foodland's newest store format, "Foodland Farms." This store format is a specialty market offering residents and visitors a wide selection of island grown, gourmet, natural, organic and traditional favorites from Hawaii, as well as many varieties from around the world. At Foodland Farms, customers can discover fresh, prepared foods, along with their favorite grocery items - all in a convenient location with excellent service. In February of 2010, Foodland Farms opened its second store in Aina Haina on Oahu.
