Basic Simple Green Salad

Ingredients

5 ounces
Local Spring Mixed Greens or Baby Arugula
2 tablespoons
fresh herbs, torn (dill, chives, basil, tarragon)
1 pinch
Salt
1  
ground black pepper
1⁄4  
lemon or lime, squeeze to juice
2 tablespoons
extra virgin olive oil
   
Ho Farms assorted tomatoes, halved (optional)
   
olives (optional)
   
apple slices (optional)
   
dried cranberries (optional)
   
almond slivers (optional)
   
Parmesan cheese, shredded (optional)
   
cucumbers (optional)
   
salami, thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl and serve.

Notes

This salad basic can be dressed up in many ways. You can add apple slices, dried cranberries, nuts, assorted cheeses, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, assorted meats, etc. Take this recipe and experiment with different variations. You can also experiment with different herbs and different lettuces.
