Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

chicken
3 pounds
chicken thighs, boneless, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
1 1⁄2 cup
flour
1⁄2 cup
cornstarch
   
salt and pepper to taste

Garlic sauce
2 cups
Aloha shoyu (Aloha is less salty)
2 cups
sugar
1 cup
chopped garlic
1⁄2 cup
chopped green onion
2 tablespoons
sesame oil
1 teaspoon
chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, simmer until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens. Set aside.
  2. Take some of the cooled sauce and marinate the chicken.
  3. Combine flour and cornstarch. Season the flour mix with salt and pepper. Dredge chicken in flour mix & deep fry.
  4. Toss in sauce and serve.
