Honey & Pecan Granola

Better than anything you can buy

Servings 1 Servings

Ingredients  

  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 3.25 cups rolled whole oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup bran
  • 0.333333 cup pecan pieces
  • 1.5 cups dried cranberries
  • 0.5 cup golden raisin
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup canola oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sliced almonds

Instructions 

  1. Granola may be eaten alone or used to make a fruit & yogurt parfait.
  2. Prepare a flat baking pan about 16"x 12" with wax paper and grease the sides with spray grease.
  3. Combine all the dry ingredients except the almonds into a mixing bowl with a paddle attachment.
  4. Combine the honey, oil and vanilla together in a bowl.
  5. Add the honey mixture into the dry ingredients and mix on low speed until well incorporated.
  6. Add in the sliced almonds and mix until just incorporated in.
  7. Do not over mix or the almonds will bread up.
  8. Pour the granola onto the baking sheet and press firmly into the sheet pan.
  9. Bake at 300° for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  11. Crumble into bite size pieces.
